Tellstick Net - Scenarios

Post by FrenzIQ »

First of all thanks for a great product!
The Tellstick Net really hit the spot and I'm now controlling my whole house from my iphone, ipad and computers.
The scheduler works like a charm and when I'm coming home in the evening I'm coming home to lights on :D

But I have three wishes for this product to become top contender for world domination:
1. The iOS app for iPhone needs a makeover to make it look better, it does the job but at the moment it looks really dull.
2. You should develop a iPad specific app that makes use of the larger screen and again, make it more good looking than the iPhone app.
3. Scenarios!!! As soon as possible you should make a scenario function available in the Telldus live center. I want to be able to press, "watch television" and the Tellstick will dim all lights except the ones in my cinema room and so forth. This function will be your killer argument on sales development!

Defend your first place while you got it!

Same answer to all of your three questions. We are developing those functions/applications.

The mobile applications will get a rewrite on all platforms (iPhone, iPad, Android and Meego).
The development will take place here (in the open):

Symbian3 (Anna Belle) is for you dead in Sweden?

Symbian 3 (Anna Belle) is for you dead in Sweden? It is strange, considering that phones (Symb.3, Anna, Belle...) like the Nokia N8 are widespread among geeks, who have such technology as Tellstick enough to use. It is unfortunate that Symbian is here among us for a long time, so you pass ...
Personally, I have many customers who own both Tellstick as well as the Nokia N8 ... what to say.

Yep, I find it highly ironical that a product developed on QT does not have a Symbian ^3 app available. After all, QT originates from Nokia (see http://qt.nokia.com/ for more info).

/PT

ps. Just bought my Tellstick today as the reseller didn't have Tellstick Net available - decided that I want to learn the solution anyhow. Currently I have Waveman-based remote system, but in couple of months I'll change to Nexa-based system.

Telldus Center and Telldus Live does seems to be quite bare. Haven't yet find a way how to have different scenarious, as IF device_A is already on turn it off while keeping devices_B on. Might be there are 3rd party apps for that, but then, the above point about QT and Nokia app is even more actual.

Yes, I agree, and it is a paradox that is reported from Telldus support for the operating system "Meego".
It is now only one phone (N9), and which certainly does no longer supported. And compared to Symbian (3, Anna Belle, etc.) for many current phones (eg Nokia N8) as well as many new, now coming to market. Symbian smart phones on the market very much, and certainly will be a number of years even in the Mr. Elop worst case scenario.
We would support for Symbian smartphones welcome!
