I've added Telldus to my repository, but I am getting an error message when trying to use it.
W:Failed to fetch http://download.telldus.com/debian/dists/stable/Release Unable to find expected entry main/source/Sources in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)
Any hints what's wrong?

It might help if you tell us what changes you have done and what commands you give.
Not just the error message.
So, how does /etc/apt/sources.list looks like (or did you put a file in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*.list instead? That would be better)?
What commands (GUI or CLI) did you execute?

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 / package problem
I've exactly done as stated on your Homepage (http://developer.telldus.se/wiki/TellSt ... tionUbuntu), though some minor modifications were necessary as the menus are a little bit different now.
I did everything GUI-based, and didn't enter any command line inputs.
- downloaded the public key
- imported the key file
- added the repository
- as there was a problem when downloading the packages, I couldn't process to the last step (synaptic)
Here are the last lines of /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://download.telldus.com/debian/ stable main
deb-src http://download.telldus.com/debian/ stable main
deb http://download.telldus.com/debian/ unstable main
deb-src http://download.telldus.com/debian/ unstable main

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 / package problem
I're really no Linux expert, but I just compared the directories on the Telldus server with the one from ubuntu.
There binary amd64 and i386 are similar, but the source folder is missing on the Telldus server. I think that's the one Ubuntu is complaining about.
P.S.: I've also filed a service request on that issue, hope you don't mind.

Re: Ubuntu 10.10 / package problem
Remove the deb-src line from sources.list. We will add the source-packages in the next release.

I've been able to add the unstable release to the software repository list, and were able to install the telldus-core package.

If you are not a Linux expert and want stable software, do not use the unstable repository.
It is unstable, might break your configuration at any time and is unsupported!
