Home Easy Lightswitch (HE108) Pairing

Hi All,
I have just installed a new Home Easy 2-gang remote light switch. It works fine manually but I cannot get it to pair with my Tellstick.
In the instructions, it says that you have to tap the button 6 times and the LED will start blinking. Apparently, the light itself is supposed to start dimming up & down in steps in pairing mode too.... this bit doesn't happen (the LED does blink though).
I have also tried pairing with a Home Easy remote control (HE300) and this won't happen either.
Any ideas?
