Password protect access

Hi,
In a previous install of Automagically I managed to password protect Automagically, but I have forgotten how I did it.
I'm not so keen on exposing it to the world without proper login.
I think I created a .htpasswd in ~/source/automagically/site but that did not work this time.
So, can someone tell me how you did that?
