Reading temperature with duo

Hi,
Wow, I finally got the Duo a week ago and it only took about 10 minutes to program all 7 remote switches, 3 different brands, thanks to the scanning ability to get the code from the learning devices remote - and it works perfectly!
I was a little disappointed that there there was no program to try and read some temperature info. So I managed to download the trunc with subversion and tried the Python program root/examples/python/callbacks.py. I uncommented tdRegisterRawDeviceEvent and commenting out tdRegisterDeviceEvent.
The program "waits for events" but doesn't receive anything from my UPM temp/humid sensor, or the remote switch remote for that matter.
I see there is a ticket#104 (http://developer.telldus.se/ticket/104) to support the UPM temp/humid sensor protocol. I thought in raw mode I would still get something?
Can you please confirm all I need to do is run that Python program, and if that is enough to receive some data.
Thanks,
Robert
