Intertechno/Kappa dimmable transformer not supported?

Post by omicronCZ »

Why Intertechno/Kappa dimmable transformer (http://www.intertechno.at/produkte/empf ... R-105.html) with Code Switch is not supported in TelldusCenter software?
Actually no dimmable actor (dimmer) with Code Switch are not supported...
A solution ? Thanks.

This is simply since the receiver doesn't support any dim-commands. You can still configure it as code switch and use it just like you can with the remote.

I do not understand, you mean that the dimmable transformer? It can of course use the normal (Kappa, Intertechno etc.) remote control continuously dimmed, but using "Tellstick" no. Because it is not in the software set up, just as You write, set it as the "On / Off" mode ... So I have now set, but unfortunately without dimming function.
Do you think it is "dim-commands" from "Tellstick" it can not send "Tellstick"? And it will be able to? What is the problem (software or Tellstick hardware) ?

The remote control only have two buttons, on and off. These "actions" is the only one the receiver understands. So these are the only ones TellStick can send.
To dim the receiver with the remote control you press the on-button twice, the receiver goes into dim-mode and starts dimming up and down. To stop the dim-cycle you just press the on-button again. You have to do the same thing with the TellStick. Press on twice to start the dimming and press on again when the receiver is in the right state.

Since the receiver doesn't understand any other signals this is the best we can do. The selflearning swithes on the other hand also understands "real" dimming commands. With those it is possible to send a "75% command" to the receiver.

The problem is the receiver, not TellStick.
