Does Philio PHIEPAT02 work inside the refrigerator?

If you don't go below -10 deg. C in your refrigerator and if the sensor signals reach your controller it should work.

The metal housing of a refrigerator will effectively attenuate the radio signals from the sensor so don't expect any longer distance between sensor/fridge and your controller.

My recommendation is to go for a cheap 433 MHz sensor instead as they usually has a longer range than a z-wave based sensor.

I can not use 433 MHz transmitters because I have Telldus TellStick ZNet Lite v2 Z-Wave gateway.

ZNet v2 has receiving on 433 MHz.
Perhaps you mean v1? (which only transmits on 433 MHz).

Or put another Z-Wave unit just outside the refrigerator for range extension.

Another solution is to use a unit with external temp sensor and put the transmitter outside the refrigerator...
