433Mhz and 868Mhz hardware from Ansen.com.hk

Post by sesam »

Did anybody

I noticed Conrad etc are selling weather stations/sensors from www.ansen.com.hk

Has anybody looked at the chips/protocols used by Ansen for their sensors? Some use 433MHz, others 868/900Mhz.

Units of interest:
- Outdoor temp/humidity sensor (W186-F). 433MHz, 2xAAA, transmits every 30 seconds. Same sensors but using 868/900MHz (W186-8) is 23EUR at http://www.voelkner.de/products/272536/ ... 186-8.html
- Rain Gauge W174-8, 2xAA, 868/900MHz
- Soil moisture sensor, 4 moisture levels (W249-0). 433MHz, reach max 10m, 1xCR2032 (12GBP w/base station http://www.conrad-uk.com/ce/en/product/ ... ture-meter )
- Soil moisture and soil temperature sensor (W235-0), 1xCR2450
**Most Ansen sensors seem to exist in at least two versions: wireless (-0) and wired/standalone version (-1)

Conrad sells a weather station which includes W186-F, price ~34EUR. Specs: http://files.voelkner.de/650000-674999/ ... _fr_nl.pdf
It looks like W224-3 or -7 with a probably fixed symbol LCD screen and 3 channel reception presumably allowing additional W186-F to be added, so it should be possible to buy them separate somewhere -- but where?

Just for the record, aside from the Ansen-stuff today I also ran into some other outdoor thermo/hygro sensors on 433MHz of which at least two are supposed to be interoperable:
30EUR for http://www.conrad-uk.com/ce/en/product/ ... ith-sensor
or 25 EUR for http://www.conrad-uk.com/ce/en/product/ ... ed-clockbr
or 17EUR for only a (possibly better) sensor http://www.conrad.com/5-Channel-Hygro%2 ... &pi=672148

I'm also interested in the soil moister sensor held by for example Conrad, does it work with the telldus sensor service?

The Conrad W137-P Wireless Soil Moisture Meter does not show up under sensors for Tellstick Net.
