Hi niclasf,

With the arrival of Events telldusLive the PIR becomes very interested. I'll test it all soon.

Would it be possible to make comunication with this types of sensor eg :

-Sensor Air Quality Sensor Hazardous Gas Detection >>http://cgi.ebay.fr/MQ135-MQ-135-Sensor- ... 1c312f2363
or other detectors avalable>> http://stores.ebay.fr/ICs-Processors-St ... 1094009239

-Snow/Rain Detection Humidity Detection Sensor >>http://www.ebay.com/itm/121089623136?ru ... 26_rdc%3D1
or

This will work if you use the digital out and connect it where the PIR should go.

Same answer as above.
The first Snow/Rain Detection Humidity Detection Sensor will work as long as you use the digital output and connect it to where the PIR goes.
The second sensor only seem to have an analog output so it will be harder to make it work.

This will not work unless I put a significant amount of work into this. I do not plan to do that :) Actually, I do not plan to develop this code any more. If there are bugs, I will fix them, but no new features.
This will work as well since it has digital out. Connect it to the PIR and it will probably work.

In general: if a sensor have a digital signal out it can be connected to the esic_clone/fineoffset_clone. As soon as the clone detects a signal going from low to high on the PIR input, it will send out a data package.
For the analog sensors, it is a little bit harder, but it will work. The code today uses one ADC to measure the battery voltage. This could be used to read an analogue signal instead. This however is a case by case implementation and nothing I have time to help you with.

So, for the sensors with digital output: Go for it and test them out. It would be great if you could report back the result.

So in the end I managed to build five working DHT22 senors and two DS18B20.

The DHT22 ones showing the same ID's I turned into DS18B20 instead. I've also started using a DIL-sockets on the newer ones !

I'm still waiting for the motion senors.

I am getting a few 'ghost' sensors in Telldus Live, will this be my bad soldering or might it be solved by moving the sensors ? By ghost sensors I mean there are reports of sensors with IDs which only appear every day or so and but give known temps.

So, with the gas sensors... Would it be possible to builder a tellstick compatible smoke alarm?

Yes, but I would not trust my life with it :)

Hi,

I'm fairly new to the world of Tellsticks (just got my telllstick.net last week) but I were so impressed with your PIC based RF433 temp/humidity sensor that I ordered components for 4 kits right away.

Have you considered printing a PCB for your design? It should be possible to build a quite small board and the price don't have to be that high (what about $15 for 10+2 5x5cm boards from imall.iteadsudio.com, perhaps we even can fit two boards on 5x5cm).

Great that you build your own.

I am actually learning to draw PCBs in Diptrace right now.
I hope to have ordered a batch of pcb:s before the end of this week. The size of the pcb will be 24*24mm, including space for an optional 2.1mm power adaptor.

Before mid of December I hope to be able to sell a kit :)

edit: Thanks for the link!

Let me know if you need help with the PCB design.

I need a few PCBs (given the cost will not be astronomical like <30 SEK is a good price).

I also have some ideas of using your design to build a energy meeter (reading the S0) but using the Oregon Scientific protocol, an Arduino and sending the reading as rain gauge. (Of course I need to figure out the issue with unreliable RF readings here, but the memory of the Arduino is quite big so it might be possible to solve that in a nice way).

Interesting with the energy meter. At about mid of December I will have a kit ready for wirelessly send the energy readings from energy meters that have a blinking LED. It will be the same size as the esic clone.

I hope to have a good enough solution for lost packages using a wireless protocol.

I look forward to seeing your work.

How are you planning to send the reading? Do you plan to build your own receiver?

It will be fully compatible with tellstick duo/net and rfxtrx433 so no special receiver is needed :)

Have you tested to use a CR2430 battery to power the temperature sensor?
