Variables in remotestick and tasker?

Post by simonbove »

Hi.
I have been using tasker for quite some time, but have never been forced to use variables before (allways found a way around it), but now i really need to use it.

I would like to create a widget with information (zooper widget) about when the motion sensor was triggered last time, and the same with my magnetic switches.

I can get the variables for each sensor in remotestick, and read they should be either 1 or 2 in state, but my profiles aren't even changing.
The next thing is to get a variable which counts the time since the last trigger.

Does anyone know how to do this in tasker?

Im really a noob when it comes to variables :-/

Thanks for your help :D

I do this. When motion is triggered autoremote sends a message via http action in telldus event. Tasker triggers on it and sets time and date in a zooper widget. Use the zooper plugin where you set ZW variable to the one to use in zooper widget for example motion1 one to the ZW text for example %DATE %TIME. Then In the the widget configuration you have Motion entrance: #Tmotion1# which on the home screen will display what you want.

Works great.
