WakeUpLight (iOS)

Post by jaaahaaa »

Hey, I've been working on a wake up light app for the iphone. It works that way that you set the alarm on the phone and select which lights to dim up and just that will happen.

I've come pretty far with the app, I'm however a bit dissapointed that the app must be running for it to dim up the lights (restictions from apple which cannot be worked around). But would be nice to hear what you think of it, if it's worth putting in more time fixing the app.

If any beta testera are interested that would be great just PM me your email.

I made something similar on Android, which triggered automatically based on the device's alarm. Is that possible on iOS? By that I mean if you have to set the alarm on the device, then go into the app, and then set the wake up light?

Its not possible to access the alarms from the iOS app but my solution was to create my own alarm. However the app must be left running, it works but not as nice solution. For that reason I haven't got around to finish the app up. But if there is interest in the app i could...
