Sticktools - The tellstick swiss knife

Post by c0rner »

Hello!

Sticktools is a project I've been working on for a couple of weeks now and finally I believe it is ready for public release. Sticktools is basically a toolbox of utilities for sending RF protocol commands and a daemon that will communicate with the Tellstick device.

Daemon you say? Yes, the 'derpstick' daemon basically provides you with a local unix socket connected to your Tellstick(s). Yeah, the daemon supports *unlimited* connected devices.. :shock:

Currently only two protocols are provided:
* Arc - This is what most of you know as arctech-selflearning/Home Easy Advanced.
* Fuhaote - Fuhaote is used by Kjell & Company devices

Planned for the future:
* Arc-switch - Arctech-codeswitch or Home Easy simple
* Better logging in the daemon
* More protocols..

Remember, this is not a finished product but a toolbox! Use it just the way you want, there are no limits!

Great! I will test this as soon as it has support for the mandolyn protocol.

Yes this is actually not far off. I have a thermometer using the 'fineoffset' protocol and a friend is also using 'mandolyn'.. these were actually decoded on the tellstick duo firmware v4 but after upgrading to v5 it will only return the raw hex-value.
