Event trigger does not work

Post by Dal-z »

When adding an event trigger in telldus live, i can't get it to work.
The trigger is like this:
When an on/off switch which is built in the wall behind the ligthswitch is turned on, then this shall send a signal to turn on the rest of the devices in that floor. The on/off switch is defined in the "triggers" field and the devices to be turned on have been defined in the "actions" field.

But unfortunately, nothing happens.
Can anyone help?

What kind of wall switch do you have (type number/manufacturer)? If it's a 433 MHz type, the behaviour is perfectly normal, as no 433 MHz receivers/switches have a a transmitter and cannot send a status updates.
For this kind of function, you need to have Z-wave devices.

If it's 433 devices you have, a work around could be that you install a wall transmitter instead of the ordinary wall switch. Then you could trigger the event when flipping the switch.
