Solution for temperature logging

Post by henkepenka »

Hi,

*UPDATE*
I thought that I should update the first post in this thread so that all new readers see this.

I have now put up a site where you can register and connect your Tellstick NET. Every 15 minutes, sensor data will be saved and presented in a graph.
You can change time interval and turn on and of the sensors. You can also export the graph to several formats.

But as you will notice, I have not put any energy to the design, maby that comes later...

The address are: http://www.googleandroid.se/tellstick/index.php

Please come back when you have tried and report bugs and wishes in this thread.
You can also reach me at henkepenka[a]gmail.com.
*END UPDATE*

I´m working on a solution for temperature loggin for Telldus Live. What functions and graphs are you interested in?
Right now are the temperature from the sensors that are visible in Live stored and only the temperature. I don´t own a sensor with humidity, but when a buy one I will implement that feature aswell. Today there are 4 different graphs.

Per hour (Because of the night's interruption on Telldus live servers there is a couple hours missing in the graph)

Average per day

Average per month

Temperature variation per day

I have also thinked about features as see the highest and lowest temp ever and every month.
So, what functions have I missed? What do you want?

Best Regards
Henrik

Re hi Manticus,
Could you explain me how you use tellstick-net and does the url http://live.manticus.info point to your freebox ?
Thanks.

Hi,

a history would be great! :-)
When will this be released to Telldus Live?
Right now only the last updated record is shown...

Thanks & regards,

I've activated this logging.

Looking rather good! Thanks for the good work.

See my attachments, I have a graph produced via your software. I've also attached a graph from another logging solution.

Your graph looks more pretty :)

The additional functions on my graph are:

Live temperature shown in key along with the max and min temperatures during the time shown on the graph.

I've also got loads of time frames possible for showing graphs, see other attachment.

Hi and thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I'm curios, what is the other logging solution for system. Free to use?

The other logging system has been created by a friend. It doesn't currently work with Telldus devices. There are plans for it to work with Telldus and it will likely be made public when it's more finished.

Some additional feedback on your graph.

You've ran out of colours on the graph showing for my sensors - it's hard getting enough colours! There are some more you could pop in though possibly.
A way to possibly help with running out of colours and a preference of mine - have the humidity and temperature on separate graphs. It all looks a bit flat on my graphs as there's lots of data some really high in values and some really low.

Also, what happens on your graph if the sensor doesn't update for a long time? - I guess it just shows a line at the last found data? I've found sensors can sometimes go 'missing', sometimes for hours! On the other graphing solution I use a hole is placed in the graph if data is missing for 20 minutes.

I have now uploaded an update. You will now see small info boxes for every sensor with a little information. Temperature right now, max and min temperature and humidity right now. You will also see the time the sensor sent the latest info to you tellstick. Is there any other information you are interesed in?

Once again, design isn´t my strongest talent, so if there is anyone out there who are willing to help, please tell me!

I have now updated the site once again. The max and min values that shows for each sensor are now from the values that is shown i the graph. If you change the interval in graph, the max and min values will also change.
