I'm in a remote location where a TL-WR710N provides wired internet (by way of a mobile phone with wifi). The wired connection works fine with my PC (see log below), but when I connect the Tellstick Net it blinks red. It tries to go online it seems; the little green LED by the network cable comes on ...

Telldus support is dealing with the issue. Even on a Sunday. Great support!

To conclude this subject: Telldus sent me a new unit in place of the old the old, which somehow was faulty. The new unit came online immediately. Support was very supportive, thanks!

What's the procedure for adding a door sensor to Tellstick Net/Live? I've found this document:

In step 2, it indicates that I should press a button on a on/off switch? This doesn't make sense -- doens't the door sensor talk directly to the Net unit?

I'm running Telldus Live! Mobile version 1.02 on a Nexus 4 with Android 5.01. When starting the app, it tells me it needs a library and proceeds to download Minstro version 9.6.8. After intstalling this, the app tells me that I have "Invalid Qt version".

I'm very happy with my Tellstick Net and the Telldus Live service. I now plan to move my box to a place where I pay for bandwidth by the kB and wonder what the cost of running it will be. Also, is there a way for me to reduce the frequency of updates? For example, the thermometer sends data to the T...

Thanks for your reply. Do you know how often the thermometer reports? And, if no sensors are attached and no switches are flipped, will Net still use bandwidth?

Transmission every minute seems wasteful in my scenario. I'd like to have thermo-transmission at most every hour. Is there a thermometer which has configurrable transmission intervals? the alternative, I guess, it to put the Net unit on a timer so that it only has power (say) a few minutes per hour....

Thanks for the pointer, it seems that the maximum transmission interval for the unit is 2.5 * 255 seconds = 637 seconds, or ~10 minutes. Which is better than 1 min by a magnitude, but still too frequent for my scenario, which involves satellites in remote places.
