Controlling TellStick with BlackBerry
Hello, I have just obtained an original TellStick, and I'm very impressed with the technology, but less than happy with the software implementation, especially the web access. With that in mind, I have quickly put together an application allowing me to remotely control my lights and such from the we...

Unreliable programming
I have a bunch of HE302 units (UK model). They program easily with the Home Easy remote control and the Home Easy SMS base unit. When I try to program them using the TellStick (it's a standard TellStick, batch 7) it can take 20 to 30 attempts to get the unit to accept the TellStick as a remote, one ...

Controlling TellStick from Web Browser
I have done a complete re-write of the code. It now uses jquery to provide ON/OFF switches like the iPhone, and everything is now run from one page. Speed is greatly impoved. if you use telldus centre or the tdtool to switch ON/OFF the web page reflects the status of switches when it loads. I can't ...

Detecting TellStick
Is there anyway I can check if a TellStick is connected without issuing an ON/OFF command ? If I do a 'tdtool --list' I get a list of known switches whether or not the TellStick is connected. Is there a 'tdtool --status' command that says whether a TellStick is connected ? I'm currently having to re...

Re: Detecting TellStick
OK, thanks Micke..... I downloaded the source and hacked a quick 'status' option into tdtool, it does what I need. C:\Program Files\Telldus\tdtool --status TellStick connected C:\ And when the TellStick is unplugged C:\Program Files\Telldus\tdtool --status TellStick disconnected C:\ I kept the outpu...

Re: Tellstick Duo - extremely poor range on Windows computer
Hi Cozmo, I had a similar issue when I tried to use a Sony Vaio laptop. This had 4 USB ports, 2 on the left, and 2 on the right. The TellStick worked perfectly on the left side, but not on the right. When I measured the voltage, I found it dropped on the right side to around 2.5v. It sounds like the...

Re: Unreliable programming
UPDATE If I press the programming button on the unit, the LED will flash around 12 times before it drops out of programming mode. This would appear to be the default timeout. If I press the programming button on the unit and use the 'tdtool --learn 10' or 'tdtool --on 10' command, the unit flashes 4...

Re: Unreliable programming
Hi Steffan, As I said, when programmed, the switches work perfectly, reacting to every ON/OFF command. It is just the programming they struggle with. I have tried having the unit 20cm from the Tellstick, and a couple of metres away. This makes no difference. When programmed they work from a distance...

Re: Unreliable programming
Hi Stefan, When the switches are programmed they work perfectly, two of them are in a separate garage some 15 metres away through a couple of brick walls. The switch first time every time. ON/OFF switching is perfect with all devices via the TellStick. It is the programming that is the issue. I have...
