Introducing battery status in TelldusLive
In an upcoming server upgrade we're starting to show this in Telldus Live! for sensors reporting it to TellStick Net.

Re: Introducing battery status in TelldusLive
Good - Highly appreciated Feature.
I am also waiting for a "Signal Strength" or "Signal Quality" indicator.
Some sensors dissaperars - and the reason migh be general signal quality, due to bad position or bad sensor quality..
In order to place the sensor optimally - a readout of the received signal quality of the Tellstic DUO/NET would be to great help..

Re: Introducing battery status in TelldusLive
Seems this depend on type of transmitting protocol.
None of mine Viking-sensors and nor Multisensor Mk2 from FooGadgtes do show battery status.
As far as I can see, both of these are using protocol FineOffset.
May be FineOffset protocol not have support of battery status.
Old sensor board from FooGadgtes (using Mandolyn protocol, same as ESIC) is ok.
My Oregon and Esic sensors seems ok.

Re: Introducing battery status in TelldusLive

All of you should read a little more carefully:
http://developer.telldus.com/blog/2015/2
"This is a slow rollout, so you'll see the battery status depending on if the server your TellStick Net currently is connected to is updated or not."

As @arneolav say, the fineoffset-protocol used in viking and foogadgets do not have any data field in the protocol that support battery status.arneolav wrote:Seems this depend on type of transmitting protocol.

The mandolyn protocol that is used in Esic (and early WMS called esic_clone) have one bit allocated. Thus it can show battery full or empty. Nothing in between.
Re: Introducing battery status in TelldusLive
Starting yesterday, one home-built "fine offset clones" ver. 0.6, using the DS18B20 sensor reported humidity=0%. Previously the humidity value reported an indication of the battery level, (roughly 55%). I breadboarded another sensor just to rule out any HW problems, and got the same result.
The temperature value is working OK.
Funny enough, another sensor in another installation/Net still reports the battery value in percent.
Any comments from the designer?
