Home Automation @ Raspberry PI
Hi
Today I made an early version of my home automation software for raspberry pi public. It is a web interface running on a Raspberry Pi togheter with a tellstick.
Information found here:

The goal with this is to have a very simple (yet meeting all my needs) home control panel in my smartphone.

Re: Home Automation @ Raspberry PI
Any plans to make this available for adding to an existing setup? (rather than as a SD card OS build)
Would love to give it a whirl on my squeezebox/telldus server pi!
Cheers,
Ste

Hi
I get that question quite often but I haven't found time/motivation to make installation instructions available. I have helped two persons get it running with the hope that they should have written the procedure down but I've lost contact with them when they seemed to get it going.

Re: Home Automation @ Raspberry PI
Not forgotten about this, just that work has been manic the past few months and not had 10 minutes free to do anything on my project!
Re: Home Automation @ Raspberry PI
Just thought about this the other day. Take your time, I for sure knows how it is when work is manic

Re: Home Automation @ Raspberry PI
Jörgen Karlsson has just contributed with installation instructions on how to install Automagically on any Linux system.
https://bitbucket.org/jorkar/automagically_install
I havent tried it myself, but I read thru it and the instructions seems to be ok.

Hi!
I've been running Automagically for a couple of month now and are really satisfied. I installed the system via image-download on your website.
I would really like to continue with this setup. But recently I discovered the need of also running XBMC on the same Pi.
The image that I downloaded from you didn't have any mediacenter installed, so what would be the easiest way for me to get this done?
Pi + XBMC + Automagically Nice combo!
I've read some howto on installing XMBC seperate, but it seems like a big job.
Otherwise it might be possible to start out with a XBMC-image and then add Automagically via installation instructions ?
Or is there anyone out there with this kind of setup who like to share an image ?
Thanks
Marcus

Re: Home Automation @ Raspberry PI
I think that the installation instructions linked in previous post is all that you need when starting from an XBMC image.

Re: Home Automation @ Raspberry PI
I finally got my RPI plugged in - with Automagically. Super easy to install:-)
I haven't played around much yet, but I managed to set up our outdoor christmas light and define events to switch them on in the evening controlled by sunset and switch off at a fixed time. I also tried to set up a schedule in the morning but then I run into a problem; I would like the lights to come on at around 8.30, but only if the sun hasn't already risen. However, the only conditions I can find are humidity and temperature (which I can't use).
Is it possible to define a condition based on sunrise/sunset in the interface?

Re: Home Automation @ Raspberry PI
Glad that you enjoyed it. However it is not very simple to have conditions on sunset/sunrise in the GUI at the moment.
