Alternative to the Nexa LEST-701 repeater

Post by pgothager »

I've managed to find a product that fulfills my requirements better than the Nexa LEST-701 repeater. What annoyed me was that there is a limit of devices that one can use with LEST-701 and all needs to be paired with the repeater/extender...

Eventually I found a product on ebay with a reasonable price (if it wouldn't work) - 200 SEK. I bought the product and after installation haven't experienced any range problems at all : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290542823838? ... 609wt_1163

I must admit that I have not done extensive testing, but the devices that didn't work previously due to range issues now does work. I have a dimmer as well but that one was in range prior to the installation of the new device so I cannot say if the device can control a dimmer or not.. Just fyi..
No pairing is needed and there is consequently no limit to number of connected devices. I'm using the device with my Tellstick and it works perfectly.

Se även denna tråd.

I have bought two GSM antennas.. now I have connected 27cm antenna. It works quite well but not getting one code ffrom garage motion sensor.. thinking of buying some repeater or that device from ebay.

Is that device from ebay working good?

Hi

I have also purchased the repeater from eBay.

Does your led on the repeater flash when using devices?

What dip switch setting did you use on the repeater from eBay?

Thanks

Any update on this? I also ordered the above mentioned repeater directly from ent-mart.com from Hong Kong, but either I can't figure out the correct dipswitch setting or it does not repeat the signal of my sauna thermometer. :?

Hi guys,

have you managed to solve the dipswitch problem with repeater from Hong Kong?

Pekkak - any chance to have a private discussion, would like to ask you few things concerning your setup?

You should try a 433mhz antenna for best results.

Over the holidays I have tested most of the combinations of the four dipswitches' ON/OFF settings with no luck repeating thermometer's signal to Telldus. With some dipswitch settings I was able to jam the entire traffic though so at least the repeater is sending something.

I bought this 1/1 wave antenna from AliExpress and 99.8% of my problems are away.
I have "Farraday's cage" as this is two floor stone house from year 2006.
I could not use my car block heater, but now I can!
They made it with 2.5m cable with SMA male and did fit perfectly to Tellstick
