Cannot start Telldus center after installing on W2k-computers. On one computer I recieve "TelldusCenter.exe har genererat ett fel och kommer stängas av Windows". On another W2k-computer I recieve "Det går inte hitta DLL-filen MSVCP90.DLL i den angivna sökvägen".
Any suggestions?

Tested on a XP-laptop and it's working. The problem is that the server I want to run the Telistock on has W2k and I don't want to ruin a perfectly working machine. The Kjell&Co catalogue states that Telistick working on W2k so there should be a software version for that. Anyone who has an old version suitable for W2k.

Late reply, but still...

MSVCP90.DLL is part of Microsoft Visual Studio C++ runtime and my guess is that it is probably required for Telldus Center. This DLL wasn't around when W2k was launched but you can download this as a package from Microsoft.

That package is acctually installed when TelldusCenter is installed. Why it isn't found is another question.

I gave up and install XP on the server. It slow the machine down but the Telistick is working.

Messages like "Det går inte hitta DLL-filen MSVCP90.DLL i den angivna sökvägen" are common and means what they say, the DLL file is not found in the path.

What path can it be? In my experience, under Win2K it will be the WINNT\SYSTEM32\ folder. Or, sometimes in the same folder that the program was installed.

Anyway, I believe you can always copy the DLL to all folders on your machine, one of them's got the be the right one. Although I've never had to do that.

I have been using Win2k almost since it was first released, with SP4 and BigLBA now, and have no plans to upgrade although I have both XP and 7 installed on my computer for special needs.

I get the pop-up screen "TelldusCenter.e.exe har genererat ett fel och kommer att stängas av Windows. Du måste starta om progremmet. En fellogg skapas." when I try to start the latest TelldusCenter, see attachment.

OS: Windows 2000
Installation: TelldusCenter-2.1.1.exe

All Windows updates are installed, including SP4 and Visual C++.

Where is the error log stored? I cannot find any .txt file other than the ChangeLog.txt under the Telldus folder or any of the subfolders.

Rebooting the PC does not help.

I will purchase a TellStick Net when I get the application working.

Windows 2000 är en plattform vi inte stödjer längre. Minst Windows XP krävs.

...och förresten, TelldusCenter går inte att använda med TellStick Net.

Hur får man fram den ikonen?

Antar att TellStick Net är helt webbaserad och att det räcker med att köra från: http://live.telldus.com, dvs inget program behöver vara installerat på PC:n man kör ifrån. Är det så?
