Can Telldus live notify me if my controller goes offline?

Post by movesen » Fri Feb 09, 2018 10:02 pm

I am close to purchase a Telldus controller V2, but would like to know if I can setup notification (SMS or e-mail) if connection to the Telldus controller is lost.

I would like to know if live.telldus.com Plus can notify me.

This could be due to power loss in or internet issue. I want to use the Telldus in my summerhouse, and want to be notified if the system is not working and can take appropriate action and avoid UPS equipment ect.

Thank you in advance.

No, this function is not available in Telldus Live.

You could program your system to regular send you a "heartbeat signal" and thereby informing you that the system is up and running.

Thank you for your reply. See the request is currently not planned but may come in the future.

Is there any special programming guides/examples or is this just using the GUI and send mail notifications based on applied roles and then handle it if mails is not received as expected?

You use the GUI in Telldus Live to setup an event that is run on a time/day specified by you. If you don't receive the push-msg or the email (Pro user only) when expected, you need to take action.
