HE105 support

Post by angus »

sorry I am a newbie, however I have just ordered a tellstick, to try and control my central heating. I have ordered a homeeasy he105 central heating controller, however from what I can see its not supported by the tellstick... can someone please confirm if that is the case, or if I am missing something. I downloaded the tellstick software, but the HE105 (and ultimate range) dont seem to be there.

I would appreciate some help.

regards,
Angus

We have never tried this device. That is why it isn't included in TelldusCenter. Maybe you can configure it as a Selflearning On/Off?

Thanks for the reply however I have now cancelled by tellstick order as it looks like the he105 uses a different coding
Xpl mentions it here
http://www.xplmonkey.com/homeeasy.html

Would be great if the tellstick would work but didn't want to buy just in case, but the he105 and tellstick would offer a cost effective way of remotely controlling your heating.

Thanks

I have found someone else looking at the same problem. He said that he has the "pronto" codes for the HE105, would that help in adding it to the tellstick application? I am feeling like buying the tellstick and then testing this out... I was planning on writing it up, as looking around, and speaking to friends, a nice easy way to advance your heating seems popular.

I suppose the other option is to use some other simple relay that can be controlled by the tellstick, can you advice one? Its for UK.

thanks

I'm losing the will now... however, on reflection, I cant actually see what the HE105 now gives me, except greif, if all I want to do is control the heating remotely (i.e. I never intend using the SMS unit or big Homeeasy remote control).

Is there a reason I cant just use the HE304 as a switch, I was intending putting it in parallel to my existing heating controller to allow me to bypass, but that way I could easily add the device to the tellstick and use all their controlling methods. Only thing missing would be a couple of LEDs, showing whether its on or not...

The HE304 says its rated to 5A.... I feel a project coming on, and a possible write up to post :-) Maybe I will buy my tellstick after all.
