Ny önskad funktion i Telldus-appen

Det är nog många som skulle kunna ha nytta av detta.

Det jag eftersöker är lösenordsskydd då man ändrar on/off på vissa enheter via appen.

Min anledning är att jag funderar på att bygga fast en Ipad i väggen i hallen. Där vill jag då kunna styra belysning etc genom att ha telldusappen öppen.

Men jag tänkte även ha LARM på och av. Det enda lösenordet jag i nuläget kan ha är ju då självklart lösenordet till själva paddan, och visst... det kommer fungera men blir lite mer omständligt.


Är det fler som också skulle vilja ha denna funktion?

Sedan hade jag även önskat att man kunde sortera sina enheter manuellt i appen, men det är väl en annan fråga.

Riktigt bra idé! Det skulle jag lätt använda.
Eller om Telldus tar och ger stöd till knappsatser, vilket är synd att de inte gör i dagsläget.

Kan ju vara bra vid andra tillfällen som "Släck hela huset" och standby av.

Finns ju annars risk att ungarna pillar och kommer åt dessa funktioner.

Nice idea! It's something we would like to implement. Would your iPad have the TouchID sensor? I've thought that it could be good to implement that to protect the account/devices.

ma_telldus: Yes, exactly. Trilenium is my brother, and we have have worked since 14 years in developing websites etc.
But, here is our new "telldus smart control panel". Works perfect! Trilenium can tell a little more about the setup, but it is a frame for about 60 SEK at Clas Ohlsson, instead of the expensive mounts for over 2-3000 SEK (iPad Mini). It looks good, doesn't it?

Also, you can have a virtual home button in the iPad. Place it anywhere you wish on your screen. Then you can hide "the real" button behind the white frame, but the screen itself.
Trilenium will post you some more info regarding the setup. I love it!

ma_telldus: touch sensor would be great for this just as you say.

I also had some thoughts about adding sound for each trigger if wanted. Prerecorded but also the ability to use my own sounds.

For example "Alarm activated", "Fire alarm", "Device on", "Device off" and so on.

This could be something for the "Pro users"

Also push notifications would be very helpfull. Right now i´m using email and sms and get´s the notifications that way. For example when fire alarm is triggered you get a push notification and all temperature sensors indoor. And why not a button with speed dial to emergency and loved ones if wanted?

I have another suggestion. It is a timer function.

Picture 1:
Push the on button "Hallen lampa" for 3 seconds.

Picture 2:
Enter your timer settings (slider if dim).
Click "Spara"

Picture 3:
A symbol (timer) is now present over the "on-button".

Same procedure of course for the "off-button".

Oh wow, it makes me so happy to see work I have done being used in real life. I like what you've done and will almost certainly copy the frame idea for my system at home!

I love your suggestions also, here are my thoughts on them:

Push notifications: it's under development and we want to release it as soon as we can. Email ma@telldus.se if you want to be a beta tester.
Sound effects: great idea, probably we can have some basic sounds quite quickly and we can look at how to record custom ones later, it will probably be available to all users, it doesn't feel like a pro feature to me.
One-off timer: I like this a lot, and will implement it at some point. We want to do it right though, so it requires some backend development which takes time.

Skulle det finnas möjlighet att kunna köra appen lokalt också?

@tjabas Do you mean that the app will send the commands direct to the TellStick instead of over the internet? If so, then this is on our list, but maybe it's not possible for TellStick Net. Or maybe you meant something else?

Yes exactly What i mean, i use a tellprox server, so i really dont need the internet.

When we have TellStick local access finished, there would be nothing stopping the TellProx developers implementing the same API also. Then it would work transparently as the app would just think it's a TellStick.

This might not be prio, but I would love to have a weather forecast at my screen.

Since telldus have gps coordinates it could automatically detect what area the forecast should provide.
